My husband's pain specialist recommended he take Turmeric and Coumadin supplements for his pain. You can get them combined but the doctor said they work better when bought separately.

Did you mean turmeric and curcumin? They are the same thing - curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric. It is more effective when taken with peperin (black pepper.) Coumadin is a blood thinner, available only by prescription.

There are many turmeric and curcumin supplements out there - my pain specialist recommends one from a reliable source which includes black pepper.

It was amazing the other day - I have noticed that I am a lot less achy this winter, and one of my friends said the same - the difference (besides being a year older) - turmeric capsules twice a day.

Cox inhibitors, on the other hand, are not useable for me on a daily basis - too many years of them - my stomach cannot handle it any more. I do resort to the occasional dose when I am miserable.
