Did you ever get a diagnosis? I have been having the same constant pain under right rib cage for 2 years 7 months. Constant pain. I have been had numerous bloodwork test, MRCP, MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound, Endoscopy (twice) and Colonoscopy. They have found a small hiatal hernia and a cyst on my liver. They say neither should not be causing this pain. Sleevectomy in 2014 and Cholesyctecomy in 2019. The only diagnosis they will give me is “internal scar tissue” but I don’t believe that diagnosis. This pain can be relentless. More painful during sleep when lying down. So not only is it disrupting my daily activities but also my sleep. Any new information for you?

Hello there @suzannes, and welcome to Connect. This forum supports sharing experiences as a way to improve the knowledge that we have about our respective conditions. And knowledge is power. I want to ask you about the rib cage pain. Do you think that the pain in any way relates to other parts of your body?

I have two sessions a week of MFR (myofascial release therapy). At some time during every session, the area of my body being worked on will send pain signals to the left side of my rib cage. That has been happening for at least 5-6 years. I can reach it and use the pressure of my hand to invite relief. It always surprises me that massaging my numb feet will send pain signals to my rib cage. According to my therapist that is not an abnormal reaction.

Are you doing exercises and stretches?
May you be safe, protected, and free of inner and outer pain.
