Thanks Ginger. Yes, I see a nephrologist and she is wonderful. I have been able to get my numbers from 3 to 2.8. I am working more and more on diet. Thanks for your tips.
I had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and had gold injections at age 14 when nothing else worked. Some of my doctors,including my nephrologist believe that might be the culprit.I’ve also taken lots of meds my whole life. I took up to 12 aspirin daily as a child and many cortisone shots.

@poppy67 Long term use of certain medications can have a cumulative effect on our kidneys, as can diabetes, high blood pressure, and lifestyle choices.

Being our own advocate is crucial in getting to our best health possible. Good for you for having the knowledge of your health history, even as a young lady! We just never know what may trigger our current conditions.
