Shortly after I had a mild case of Covid in 2022, I developed extreme anxiety. I'm not sure if it was caused by Covid or my worry about the many health issues I was having which I believe were part of long-Covid. My Dr prescribed Sertraline (Zoloft), two weeks at 25mg/day and then a maintenance dose of of 50mg/day. After a few weeks, it really helped reduce my anxiety. After a few months, I decided to taper off to see if my anxiety issues were resolved. I did fine without the meds so stopped the Sertraline. Luckily, about a year after Covid, my many long-Covid issues have gone away.

Did Zoloft help with any of the long covid symptoms like shortness of breath, fatigue or brain fog? When you started Zoloft, did you feel terrible for weeks that you couldn't drive a car or function? Did your doctor give any slack about going off of Zoloft, I am concerned about starting and being on a medicine for a long time.

I've been experiencing various long covid symptoms since a relatively mild acute case last June. One of the most troubling is constant unfocused anxiety. I haven't taken any meds, but I do have a neurological consult scheduled in April.
