I have a tip for Raye: My husband also has restless leg syndrome. I would lay there and count 10 seconds between each shake of the bed. Then we got a Tempurpedic mattress and the problem is solved. This firm, memory-foam mattress, amazingly, transfers NO movement between one side of the bed and the other. Also, it's a king size mattress which helps, as well.

That's funny! I used to count to 7 before he kicked again. He always denied that he kept me awake, even though he had already started kicking at the age of 20 . I discovered that on my honeymoon in 1960. Once I woke him to find out what in the heck he was doing in his dreams and he said he was running!
We ended up with separate rooms and still were married for 58 years.
