Yes, I'm prescribed omeprazole 40mg twice a day and famotidine 20mg twice a day. My gastro also condoned me taking alginic acid, calcium carbonate antacid tablets (no other ingredients), and 2 Gaviscon tablets a day as needed.

PPI’s are only meant for short term use . They can do more damage than good after long term use . You can google that .
