Jake, They don't cut the tendons for Dupuytren's. The condition affects a layer of tissue that lies under the skin of your palm. Knots of tissue form under the skin — eventually creating a thick cord that can pull one or more fingers into a bent position. Treatment involves removing or breaking apart the cords that are pulling your fingers toward your palm.

Hi there,
I didn’t mean to imply my Mom or Dad for that matter had Dupuytren's contractures. I know there are numerous Contracture types but I’m not familiar with the different ones. I believe she damaged one or more nerves when she broke her shoulder but who knows.
I appreciate all the information from everyone.
