My husband had the injection for his Dupuytren's contracture around 4 years ago. He went to the orthopedist when his fingers began to and intrfere with daily activities. The orthopedic surgeon recommended hand surgery, but my husband wanted a second opinion. He went to a hand surgeon who recommended the injection. It has worked well for him.
He never had pain with his contracture, just locking fingers in one hand and a hard ridge along the tendon line in hand.
