Clearly inappropriate, but giving benefit of the doubt perhaps indeed a shadow appeared over half his screen and he was suddenly working half in the dark.

On the other hand all should remember that Urologists perform Prostate Biopsy and then deliver the results to the patient. If the Big C is part of that diagnosis you will be confronted with treatment options. One of those options is the Radical Protatectomy. Who performs the RP, the Urologist. The Urologist is obligated to tell you the treatment options but can also let you know that the "Gold Standard" is RP. If you do not bother to research your options or get a second opinion you may quickly decide to move forward as quickly as possible with RP.

Do your homework, read Dr. Walsh's "Surviving Prostate Cancer" and any other materials you can find.

Most importantly, let's hope that the Biopsy comes back negative or at worst Gleason 6 Low Risk... in which case you should have plenty of years for Active Surveillance. Best wishes.

I’m with Buckwater. Worry will come to you often, but if you spend time learning all you can from reputable sources you will become your own expert, which will give you confidence and lessen worry. Also, I would get slides of the biopsy to send to a major center for a second opinion. It’s easier than you think. Do not submit to surgery without exploring all options first.

Thanks for your input!!
