I had my cervicothoracic injections yesterday based on pain mapping.
The radiologist pressed the area to be injected with his fingers first to determine whether it was the sore area, but after the injections (3) around the top left of thoracic area, my pain didn't improve, it actually got worse.
After I left the radiology place, I felt an unbearable stinger around left of T1 vertebra I believe. This is a new pain that started after the doctor pressed that area. I went home, I tried ice packs and hot packs alternating them for at least 3 hours but I didn't get any relief.
I tried to sleep later on but the pain was so intense that I couldn't.
It was a sleepless night.
I took a Targin around 5am (Melbourne time) which has taken off the edge, but it is still very painful.
What has happened? Is it nerve or facet joint pain or something else? Will it improve?
I can't believe my bad luck.
I appreciate any feedback.
Thank you.
Alfred
Did the doctor do a ultrasound guided injection into your cervical spine or just Aim and shoot, maybe he hit a nerve
