In a similar situation with numbers. I’m in month 10 of Anastrozole and I am scheduling a DEXA at one year to check out if and how my bones may be compromised. Insurance will only pay every two years.

But no drugs for it yet? Thanks.

I guess insurance can vary, but once I hit osteoporosis, insurance covered DEXA every year. Wait and see your results, then call insurance. Ex. They didn’t cover my ultrasound screening for breast cancer because it’s not routine. When I called them to explain that I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction, I couldn’t have mammo—just ultrasound, they quickly informed my doctor how to enter the code for my new normal. Hang in there for results. If it’s osteopenia, then I was told every 2 years.
