Dorsal Root Ganglion stimulation for chronic pain?
My pain management doctor has suggested that I consider this therapy for my chronic pain. She also suggested PNS peripheral nerve stimulation. I'm 9 months post TKR. I have only 40 degrees ROM and have worked on my physical therapy religiously. I posted a discussion regarding my intraoperative comminuted patella fracture complication I suffered during surgery. My surgeon said it wasn't going to affect my recovery much, but it did. Being in a immobilization brace for 6 weeks after a knee replacement certainly did delay necessary physical therapy ROM exercises. I'm in pain still and trying to regain function now seems like too little, too late. I really don't know what to think about pain management options for chronic pain. Has anyone else been offered these treatments, if so did they help?

Sorry to hear, I tried PNS as well as DRG and neither worked for me.They say the sooner you try these better chances it works. Good thing is you will do a trial before it is put in. All these devices have some degree of drawbacks but only you know your pain . Best of luck
