Did I read your message right? Did you say you sometimes hear music sounds? I thought it was just me and having a psychiatric problem. I am so happy (not that you are experiencing this) that I am not alone in this very odd auditory symptom! Thank you for your post.

Sharon..Yes I hear music and musical notes and phrases. This is an auditory phenomenon called “musical ear”
Of course this is the brain fabricating sound for unknown reasons. Doesn’t mean you are going crazy.

I have musical fragments 24/7. Some are pleasant but others sound like fast drumming which is very uncomfortable. The phrase goes round and round and round - some call it ear-worm. Yes, it’s nice to know we’re not the only ones!

Musical ear is quite common. I've had it for years along with my progressive sensorineural hearing loss. I've learned to be able to change the tune when I get tired of listening to the same thing over and over. Sounds a bit crazy, but it's real. Mine actually seems to cover the tinnitus I used to have more often.
