How do you manage symptoms of an overactive thyroid?

i hope im in the right place. i have had hypothyroidism for 19 years. i was 35 when diagnosed i am now 54. in that time i have also been always on the genetic version on synthroid. when i went to my pcp(whom i am changing because he really does not want to help me) with my symptoms including heart racing. with that i checked my heart on my husbands kardia mobile. most of the time at least the several times i checked i was in tarchacadia and bpm over 100. my pcp checked my tsh and that is all. it was .24 he said it was low and that my dosage was to high. he reduced it from 150 mg to 137 mg. that was 3-4 weeks ago. no difference. same symptoms. i also have anxiety so im sure that isnt helping. i asked to see a endocronologist he reluctently sent the referral they never got it then i found out he sent it to some place at this hospital thats backed up with referrals. i talked to a functional doctors office. the person i talked to said this doctor was booking out 4 months and based on my symptoms i needed to be seen asap. which scared me. so back to this pcp who really doesnt want me to bother him. i asked him to send a urgent referral. they got it but my pcp didnt add anything about that i was wearing a 7 day heart monitor or about tarchacadia. they wouldnt call me i had to call twice. friday i talked to someone and she was suppose to call me back. never heard anything. when it got to 4:30 on a friday i called. the person i talked to was not helpful. she said the doctors said mine was not urgent just routine. i told her about wearing a 7 day heart monitor and being in tarchacadia she offered me a appointment in september! i said what? i cant wait that long my heart is racing she said well then maybe you need to see a cardiologist then i hung up. someone on another board said i needed my free t-3 and free t-4 checked as my pcp only checks my tsh. i sent him a long message yesterday explaining everything about my symptoms, that i still think im on too high a dose. what the endo office said and if he didnt want to see me send mr=e to someone who will see me at least until my new pcp gets my records which could take at least another 3 weeks. i did get a message early this morning it was from my pcp's nurse she got my message but my pcp is out this week but that she sent him my message and he usually when out checks his messages. so i wait. add on to of it im weaning of a anxiety/panic med i have been on for 20 yrs in all these years noone ever told me it was a controlled substance. i had to fight with my med nurse last week for a hour to help me wean off of it onto a safe anxiety med. she actually wanted to up my dosage of my med that is a controlled substance i said no way then she suggested something i probed her until she admitted it was a anti psychotic i said no. she said we are running out of options i stood my ground she finally prescribed buspar. as well as slowing weaning me off of klonopin. i told her my former gastro dr's nurse practioner had mentioned it to me. that it was a anxiety med but it also help with appetite suppressent. this med nurse said i never knew that. i just looked at her in disbelief and concern. she's not that good. she is new. she started in january. my med nurse who she replaced was so amazing with me when i found out she resigned i cried so hard. i cried for days. even now when i think of her, i tear up she did so much for me. im sorry this is so long. if it helps i live in new hampshire. thank you for listening and reading this.
