This support group meets weekly via Zoom and focuses on topics relevant to women who have been diagnosed with non-metastatic breast cancer. Meet peers who can relate to the physical and mental aspects along this journey. Breast cancer survivors lead this group with support each month from providers in the Diagnostic Breast Clinic and the Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Do they usually do a lumpectory op for invasive lobular carcinoma at early stages?
They did for me in 2019. Then followed by some radiation and pills to lower my estrogen. I'm not so sure that I wouldn't opt for complete breast removal to avoid the radiation.
I did the breast removal since the margins weren’t coming back clean. That way I didn’t need radiation.
