Has anyone heard of Kratom or tried it?

Doing a search with the word Kratom came up 0

Has anyone heard of KRATOM or better yet tried it?

I purchased a bottle of it about a year ago but after reading the words of people who do not believe in nonFDA approved medication it scared me.

Recently I watched a documentary about it that changed my mind.

There was only 24 pills so now I’m going to buy another bottle.

I think a bigger sample size is needed to know for sure about its effectiveness.

If anyone else has tried it I’d like to know

Hey there!

Red Maeng Da strain for pain, white strains for energy : Its like anything else, you just need to use safely. Start small and go big depending on your pain. Its the only thing I have successfully found to help with the edge, but nobody had addressed my pain. I researched for hours and quality definitely matters here....but the strains all do different things.

Capsules are my preferred. Definitely dont take on an empty tummy....kratom vomit is very earthy and makes your mouth feel hairy because its ground leaves.

I’ve been using it for a few years. I would highly recommend googling “Reddit vendors of Kratom” and starting there for a list of good approved vendors.

I use a mix of mainly red (for pain) and some greens for mood and pain. I would recommend starting really low dosing and using a scale to measure your dose (I use a scale with oblate papers for home and I make capsules for work because it’s cheaper to buy the powder and make my own capsules).

I take about 2-3 grams every 4 to 6 hours. I would recommend taking about 1 to 2 grams to start to see how it affects you. It has been a lifesaver for me. Drink plenty of water and don’t be surprised if Kratom causes you to be constipated. I would recommend against mixing Kratom with any other substances, like alcohol. It also can lower your seizure threshold, so if you’re prone to seizures I would maybe try it very slowly and be aware that seizures can happen.

Aww I’m sorry that it didn’t work for you. It’s possible the brand or strain didn’t jive with your body chemistry . That definitely can happen, we’re all different. I use multiple vendors and blends

Why? There’s nothing to be scared of as long as you use lab tested vendors and don’t abuse the plant. It’s impossible to overdose on it as it doesn’t cause respiratory depression. If you do take too much, more than likely you’ll be nauseous and maybe throw up. It’s been used in many countries in Asia for many many years.

If you take it daily for awhile and then suddenly stop, you will probably notice it, the same way that if you stop an anti depressant suddenly, you will notice it. Your body won’t like it.

It’s important to determine if the benefits outweigh the risks for you, just like any medication. There’s no reason to be afraid of Kratom. It’s safe when used responsibly, that’s the key.

If someone is using it looking to “get high”, the plant will not meet that desire. You don’t get high off of Kratom. It’s impossible to overdose on it. It’s not a perfect plant, and it’s important not to mix substances with Kratom.

It is effective for chronic pain, anxiety and depression and also really helps with people who are suffering from opiate addiction and are trying to stop (it really helps the withdrawal symptoms). If the plant is researched and used responsibly by the consumer (taking small doses hours apart, not taking more than you need, eating/drinking/ sleeping, buying from reputable vendors who have lab tests and are trusted by consumers) there are so many benefits. It’s helped many many many people.

Thanks for the full discussion of this topic. What are some of the more legitimate sources for this product that you may know? I appreciate your input as I am seeking something for my pain that doesn’t constipate me. It doesn’t, does it?
