Neck Dissection Lymph Node Removal/Sampling - Yes or No?

I would recommend the neck dissection. My tumor only invaded 3 mm stage 1 but a couple of months later I had found that it did spread to the lymph nodes then you are left scrambling to try to get a surgery scheduled plus it may spread to more lymph nodes than if you get them taken out right away.

Did you have any treatments when you found the 3mm stage 1 before finding it spread to the lymph nodes? Have you had the surgery now? And what treatments are you doing after surgery?? Sorry for so many questions. I was stage 1 3mm, and opted for the surgery . They found it in 2 lymph nodes also when I had the surgery. Now I'm going to be getting radiation done. Have you had this done?
