Yes I would like to know this as well
Hi @susanpmadigan, you are right to ask about the origins of the text quoted by @ladyaceintx1 in the original posting. I have added it there.
Here is the case study write up:
- COVID-19 as a probable cause of pancreatic injury https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9548912/
For everyone: it is important to note that this paper recounts a suspected correlation describing 2 cases, concluding that "COVID-19 infection may trigger pancreatic injury in some patients."
Case studies help trigger further investigation in clinical studies, but are not conclusive evidence until further study is done.
Susan,
Yes, as answered by Colleen. Because I'm still waiting for my GI to determine if my Chronic Pancreatitis is an autoimmune type, I was doing my own research and found the information relating COVID-19 to Pancreatitis . I had COVID in December of 2021 and am considering it as a possible cause.
I would like to know any posts or articles regarding pancreatic issues since getting covid or from tge covid vaccines.
Thank you
