Hi @sparklegram I encourage you to do research on hormone-blocking long-term side effects. I took Arimidex for 10 years and still had a recurrence 14 years later, To answer your question no I don't recall any side effects after stopping. I was hoping that my hips and low back ache constantly would cease, but I'm sure the Neulasta played a part. I was ER PR positive both times. It's amazing how many hormones are in the food we eat. I personally wish I would not have taken the hormone blockers since they didn't stop the recurrence. Maybe, I would feel healthier now and not have to shave my fu man chu 🙂 I'm considering the Estrogen supplements to help with the Heat I still do have not hot flashes like they were but I sweat like a construction worker now.

There are natural estrogen treatments that a lot of my friends take: DIM and Crysin.

I'm curious which foods you found to have high hormones? I have always been curious about the greek yogurt I eat so much of.

Hi bcwarrior that is just the reason I am not taking tamoxifen or any blocker
after radiation I have to many friends that took it for 5 years and it came back, I will get
checked every 6 months. I don't want to feel bad or have hot flashes and etc.

I just had surgery and will start treatment soon. I’m also thinking the same thing - not to take hormonal medicine which only delays the recurrence not to kill the cancer cells. I’m already osteoporosis. Really worried about the side effects.
