I am trying to decide if I should continue on taking a yearly infusion of Reclast as a transition drug off of Prolia. I have had one year of Reclast that I received last March 2022. I need to have my shoulders replaced and I need to have invasive dental work done. I need four roots removed so that I can proceed with dentures. I really do not want to take anymore biphosphonates. And I really have a problem with the fact that once I take these drugs they remain with you and really effect what other treatments you can have.
Also, who should make this decision ? My endocrinologist or an orthopedic surgeon ?
Thank you

Hello @hlp123. You will notice that I have moved your last post back to the previous discussion on this same topic which you can find here:
- I started Reclast in March 2022 as a transitions away from Prolia.: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/i-started-reclast-in-march-2022-as-a-transitions-away-from-prolia/

I am hoping members such as @giannam @kilh and @goodpeople may rejoin you! Have you told both your endocrinologist and your orthopedic surgeon and asked for their recommendation?
