I experienced the same thing. Family and life-long personal history of high iron (Saturation hit 75-78, Hemoglobin 16), got two Pfizers in July 2021 and August 2021, and my hemoglobin went down to 11.5 within 2 months. Ferritin dropped to "undetectable" and then "stabilized" at 3. Iron is currently at 4, saturation at 5. Platelets at the upper limit (what does this mean?). I don't want to take iron supplements due to my high iron history and the unknown (to me) cause for this sudden drop. Never got Covid, tested a dozen times with 3 different types of tests. I also have the laboured breathing, but no cough! I have seen several types of specialists and not one doctor has asked me about Covid, the virus nor the vaccine.
pamarena1960 your story sounds very similar to mine, no obvious cause for the anemia, never had issues with this before, but I gave yet to see an improvement in my bloodwork. Took a polydextrose iron supplement for 6 months last year and did not see any improvement at all. My hemoglobin and ferritin have dropped significantly recently and I’m now taking a heme iron supplement. Seeing a hematologist soon, this has been going on for at least a year.
