I had some bowel problems a while back from antibiotics. Fortunately, when I contracted a rather a nasty ear infection that went so far as to cause me dizziness and loss of balance, my primary doctor came to my aid by thinking outside of the box!!!. He ended up giving me an injection of antibiotics every other day for a total of three injections and that approach got rid of the ear infection while saving me possible bowel problems. Maybe your doctor could consider this approach....

....oh it gets so complicated and i dont have a regular primary doctor (Ontario Canada) but nurse practitioner... and they are good but limited in what they can do and post covid waiting six months to see a speialist; i hear that even people waiting to see family dr. can wait 3 month! going to emerge at hospital... well sometimes works out ok and sometimes not depending on whether a "true" emergency is happening but once in a while when not as busy or happen to get a really good dr on call they are great - get ct scans done and blood work etc., but when very busy which they are as sometimes ten hour waits, they just dont have the time and i was phoning and attending a nurse practitioners office a lot and was told not to contact them again for 2 months - i was so embarrassed and hurt, not my fault i am older and have long list of problems, but it was later explained to me, they are just too busy... so sad too bad for me and millions of others I suppose... just have to do what I can at home and from this helpful web site and see if I can find my own solutions, thank you!
