They took Sentinel node during surgery. However, they were not able to detect micromestatasis on sentinel node during the surgery until many days later the final pathology report came out. Because of the LVI status, I went back to have axillary lymph node detection 3 weeks later. I asked my surgeon about my LVI (focal or extensive). She said if the report didn’t say “focal”, normally it means “extensive”. Did your report say “focal”? I’m urging oncologist to give me chemo because of LVI. I’ll see her next week.
