They learned about the other breast AFTER surgery in my right. When doing the reduction and lumpectomy, they sent a biopsy from left breast to pathology and it came back a week later with atypical ductal hyperplasia. It’s not cancer and they don’t know if it will progress to cancer so they will only monitor via mammogram.
