Did you have any problems with your pancreas either time? The gastroenterologist I have seems reluctant to do an ERCP because of the possibility of pancreatitis and possibly death. So it looks like this sphincterotomy in your case was the final fix. I am happy for you!!!. This may be the final fix for me as well. Thanks for the info!!!

@mgm223 -I don’t recall having a problem with the pancreas then. The Gastroenterologist was not too keen on doing ERCP either, but I could not continue living with the pain from the sludge in the bile duct. I made the decision.
You said an ultrasound was done- I know the ultrasounds now are so much better now than a few years ago. I wonder if they do MRCPs still- MRI.
