Hello.
I have spasms, tingling, burning, stinging, tightness over bottom of foot and in toes. Tingling and spasms in hamstrings, calves, feet and toes. At times my feet swell.
Cyclobenzaprine round the clock and pregabalin (Lyrica) helps relieve the spasms in the hamstrings and most of the calves spasm and foot/toes, although the cramping in the balls of feet and stiffness is somewhat helped by massage and lots of it. On occasion the ointment lidocaine helps the nerve pain a bit in the toes.
Learn the proper stretches for the muscle group in spasm. It helps, even though you will have to keep doing the stretches to relieve it.
My neurologist wants me to see a neuromuscular doctor to explain the odd sensations, tingling in back, legs and feet and the fact the strong meds taken arent relieving my pain, who I see end of March.
My doctor didn’t grade the pain I have with lumbosacral radiculopathy, diabetic neuropathy, spasms etc. If someone told me my pain was mild, I might growl at them!
I hope you feel better.
How is a neuro-muscular doctor different from a neurologist?
