Has anyone had the PSMA-PET scan? Was cancer found?

@hbp

I just completed ADT and Erleada for 6 months then RP then 6 more months of ADT and Erleada at UCLA Westwood. My PSA went from 9 to .01, my testosterone went to -6. I had a Gleason score of 9 and we are hoping for a cure. The process was not bad, the worst side effect was very tired, poor sleeping , some depression and a small rash in the 11 th month. If the cancer comes back Dr Donin and Dr Reiter at UCLA said that they would probably put me back on ADT for some period of time and I am ok with that , but I hope that the cancer does not return. Good luck to all of us!

L1 lumbar and right hip show light up PSA 5.6 up from 1.2 in Nov

Prostate radiated 40 x in 2018 and L2 radiate July 2021. 1 inch taken out

I feel great

Thank you for responding. Hope you do very well and are able to avoid additional tx.

My cancer is stage 3a; with Gleasons 8 & 9 and EPE; last preop PSA 7.5 (postop .19).

Began Orgovyx Jan 6; radiation scheduled for Jan 13 canceled because mapping not satisfactory to Rad Onc (hip replacements interfering; repeat PSMA PET scan in 3 wks; had to STOP Orgovyx after 7 doses to try to have accurate scan [no science to guide here]).

So I am in "treatment limbo", and less than comfortable with delay.

Best to you, and all that are inflicted.
