Muscles would hurt when I used them but it was worse at night. Hips and shoulders, couldn't lay down. Spent nights between bed and chair. Sitting to rest after working outside, trying to move again afterwards would usually make me wish I hadn't stopped.

I have spent many nights between my bed and favorite chair so can definitely relate. My PMR hip/girdle pain is actually bad when standing & walking but it also hurts when sitting or lying down if I am in a bad flare. I think there is also a little tingling or burning to it. If my husband massages it too deeply I have also noticed that the pain is unbearable. My Shoulder pain is worse when using my arms for a prolonged period (i.e, washing my hair). I think I’m learning to distinguish my degenerative disc from PMR pain because it tends to be more pin pointed and a little easier to tune out. The PMR pain is more disabling and harder to ignore. I hope it is not just because I have been coping with DD pain for a long time and PMR pain is newer. I hope that is helpful and praying we all turn the corner soon!
