Elevator Accident, at work... PAIN PAIN PAIN! I was in an accident at work... Who cares, they no longer allow other "excepted injuries" from 2000. 2002 Large Labral Teal, 2013 C-5 &C6 surgery. Since then... 5 more surgeries going down the spine... NOT excepted. Now L-5 is moving to the left over S-1, mostly effecting my left leg, with nerve zoomies down to my left foot. Left leg goes out, and I have broken so many bones, I know Every doctor and their family by name. My insurance (the best I can buy) is fighting with OWCP (Office of Workers Compensation).
NIGHTMARE. After being in a new situation, they have suggested a spinal chord stimulator. These used to be giant and bulky things..... Though now, they have gotten smaller.... the stories I USED to here put me off... though it seems like it has gotten better now... What do you all think... from Montana... In the largest hospital area in 4 States...

Hello @neferkem1 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am sorry to hear of your accident at work. I wanted to connect you with others who have been discussing spinal cord stimulators so that you may find some support as you explore this option. You will find you post here now:

I see that @mmata has joined the discussion and shared some with you! I will let the pair of you connect.

Do you happen to know why type of stimulator your doctor is considering?

Dont do it. The permanent never works like the trial and all their promises.
