I have the same symptoms as yours, the distortions started a month after the stapedotomy operation, they continued to get worse and appear almost at any sound even at low frequency sounds, there is a screeching noise, when I drive the car the sound is terrible appears I can describe it as a cat purring in my ear. After 4 months, I was re-operated on the same ear, the doctor added some drops of blood around the prosthesis, believing that this would solve the problem. 10 days after the reoperation (revision) the distortions appeared again even more persistently, continuous cracking and distortions. Today I went to the doctor again and he proposed to replace the prosthesis with a Teflon one. I'm very desperate that I can't find a solution, my hearing has decreased after the reoperation, especially fine sounds, I can no longer hear them at all. The doctor is just testing the ear, believing that he is finding the problem, he told me that he has never encountered such a case before. Did you solve your problem? thanks in advance
I just had a stapedectomy on Friday. I am 3 days into recovery. I still have some pretty bad dizziness. Any sort of moving around causes me to feel dizzy. Also have fullness even in the non operated ear. Anyone else experience dizziness post surgery? They said it’s pretty common but maybe I underestimated how bad it would be bc I cannot really function like this.
