Here are all the meds I know about. You can easily google side effects but reactions are variable and the list of side effects can deter people. It is good to try meds if needed, and see how you react. Sometimes you can start off with a low dose.
1) Bisphosphonates (anti-resorptive):
oral
alendronate (Fosamax ®):
etidronate (Didronel ®)
ibandronate (Boniva ®)
risedronate (Actonel ®)
tiludronate (Skelid ®)
Zoledronic acid (Zometa®)
IV infusion
zoledronic acid (Reclast, Zometa)
pamidronate (Aredia ®) note : I have never heard of this Rx

2) Denosumab- injection (anti-resorptive)
Prolia, Xgeva

3) Anabolics - daily injection (bone builders)
teriparatide (Forteo)
abaloparatide (Tymlos)

4) Evenity (romososumab)- monthly injections
anabolic and anti-resportpive

5) Evista (raloxifene) - oral (affects hormonal receptors)
