@jo4

This is me, completely. There are so many medications that I have tried and had adverse reactions. The medicines that I have found safe, have to be special ordered, whether it is a name brand or a generic. I am on Medicare, and they have tightened up their restrictions to even the generic brands being on higher levels. It is embarrassing, and has been humiliating at times to ask for a special kind. The pharmacies I use now, are very understanding and very willing to help. Unfortunately, some manufacturers choose to not make it anymore and I have to start all over, again. I know the EDS is accountable for a number of things I experience, but I had no idea that the sensitivity I have to drugs was related in any way. Good to know, good to have the knowledge now, and a place we can find help.
Thank you, this could truly be lifesaving for some.

@jo4, it's so good to recognize your pharmacist as part of your health care team. They can be instrumental in problem-solving. Have you ever been tested for your medication sensitivities (pharmacogenomics)?
