Interesting to me, as I take Xarelto, a blood thinner.

At any rate, since I myself do not get flushing from niacin I wouldn't take no-flash niacin and so wouldn't need to worry about its
purported blood thinning effect.

I HAVE, however, noticed that a number of foods and medications increase blood thinning.

One thing that can act as a blood thinner is turmeric. I recently learned that a friend who's on Eliquis has been taking turmeric for a few months and he did not know that that is not a wise combination. Since he's accumulated a few bruises lately, with no known provenance, I suspect the turmeric was it contributing factor. Sometimes it seems as if there's no end to the research we have to do in an effort to take the best possible care of our health. I'm thankful for the internet because, despite a lot of untrue things floating around on it, we can actually read a lot of the scientific research. And sometimes find things that our physicians didn't warn us of or didn't know could be an issue.
