No, sorry , I never heard of that. What are your symptoms? I was referring to surgery called fundoplication… in a support group , I hear ( mostly, but not only) bad news about successful cases of this surgery. I would love to know if there is unbiased data on the success rate and how common complications are… especially in populations over 65.. but at some point I may have to decide on the best surgeon & go forward. Mayo ( at least in one location) is not even taking names for a waiting list.

I was on waitlist for 4 months then it took 3 more months to get appt then a month to get into Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. They picked my Gastro for me . Had 3 tests done in 3 days . Cost a lot of $$$ in out of pocket and cost $900 to stay 3 nights up there . Same diagnosis I had prior . So Dr. Didn’t know what to do for me .
That surgery def had pros and cons . I can’t do that surgery. Good luck to you !!

I have upper abdominal pain, constipation, gas, belching, bloated stomach. No OTC meds have helped and no PPI’s or any other prescription medication has helped. Been bedridden for a year now.
