I used to eat gluten-free vegetarian before I got sick, but had an immediate reaction to grains, carbs and dairy afterwards.
I have a background in nutrition, but it was pretty scary to try such a radical diet. They kept testing me for organ health and malnutrition etc.... and there was trial and error. The supplements have gotten better, luckily, in the past 2 years.
So, coconut, pea protein, and sunflower products plus Virgin oils.
I had reactions to vegetables and fruit sadly, so had to eliminate then add back one at a time.
Finding information about fodmap helped.
I did also have problem with GERD, didn't realize they could be such trouble...
Neurotransmitters and digestive hormones are the same. Never used to have any issues with stomach cramping etc... that's one of those neuromuscular symptoms 😕
Anyways they now have a name for something like my diet, called green Mediterranean diet. Duckwweed smoothies for dinner....
Maybe look into the blue zone diets as well, they're geared towards longevity.
A restrictive diet I had to have for awhile should have supervision. Follow keto macro ratios.
Good news is I can now add back a few things like berry powder, and moringa powder and garlic
I have been able to add and tweak supplements one at a time and watch the effects. They did make a difference.
Eg: lots of documentation on ALA for neurology, as well as NAC.
I was doing smaller amounts, but when the research about the doses came out I increased to the studied and approved higher dose for my condition. I find 3 to 6 studies before taking anything, and start low dose. I find the safest precursors as compared to fully formed hormones and substances.
Never thought I would get to use my university background like this 🤣
References page would be 50 pages long, and available Upon request, with appropriate fees for 2 plus years of research.
So, green Mediterranean diet following keto macro.
If you can do soy, then there's tofu.
Also tahini, nuts , seeds, greens. Zucchini, spices, any small amount of anything you can tolerate within the keto macros, then make something with cocunut milk with added fat with your moringa or matching tea. Omega 3 oils like olive oil...
Duckweed, moringa, other green powders

Please follow the advice of a practioner for your specific case. Always have medical supervision.
