Hi @expat69
I am so sorry you’re experiencing this! This is the worst kind of discomfort! I had a thoracotomy to repair my aortic aneurysms- I have this kind of pain basically from left breast to left shoulder blade. I have trouble with tight clothes or bras- so I can see where socks, and other clothes can be an issue. I have found lidocaine patches help some, also biofreeze, could be entirely placebo effect but at least calms me down and makes me able to relax and rest. They did try me on some neurontin post op- it did help a little also- I just stopped taking because it seemed to make me too sleepy and I just didn’t want to take more pills. But I was told for nerve damage there just wasn’t much to be done. I would talk to your doctor and maybe see a neurologist to see if they have better treatments to offer. Best wishes!!

Jeane

Dear Jeane.

Thank you so very much.
All suggestions are valuable for me.
Are your burning pain gone or reduced now, and can you tell me how long time it took?

Will look if Lidocaine are available where I live. Sadly seems this problem has been ignored by the medical professionals and lack solutions, but I never give up.
Willing to try any kind of possible remedy.
We both know how this burning feeling can make one nuts.

Thank you again Jeane.
