You know, just reread your post. Waiting for labs until you think your iron or other numbers are good, by changing diet or adding supplements, is not really such a good idea and if it's not something you can maintain AFTER the labs, it will not be true results. If you're not feeling well have labs and then do what needs to be done. It might be something else!!

Thank you for the information. You are right about that. My primary doctor was the one who told me to do that, but the vitamins didn’t help. It’s been about 3 months since my last lab tests and I finally got the doctor to give me a referral to the hematologist that I got an appointment for on January 18.

thanks for the input. I'm sorry but perhaps I didn't make it very clear. I had labs awhile back and doctor put me on iron supplements and dietary improvements. Then I had new labs and everything improved. I had full iron spectrum tests as well as a lot of other tests done.
