Gastroparesis nausea is cyclical for weeks. Ideas? Help?

Posted by mikejjb123 @mikejjb123, Dec 31, 2022

So I consulted a nutritionist and made some changes in diet to avoid trigger foods. Also started taking a multivitamin in the morning to cut down on all the meds I had been taking (B6, B12, Folic Acid, Iron, and several others). For 2 weeks no nausea. Felt a lot better. All of a sudden (yes I had caffine) have nausea for the last 4 days. Worse than before lifestyle changes. Ideas? Thoughts?

Thanks and Happy New Year.

Which meds did you cut back on?

Stopped regular use of Ondansetron.

oral medications may not work for patients with gastroparesis because of the delay in stomach emptying. other routes of administration (patch, nasal, suppositories) may have better chance
