I am recovering from TKR (9/16/22). It has been a tough recovery, but I'm using a cane now and feeling like I'll be okay in a few more months. I ve scheduled a routine inguinal hernia surgery for mid January. Now I'm beginning to worry about infection. I'll have antibiotics in an IV during the surgery, but because of the knee which i assume still has some scar tissue should I get more antibiotic. BTW I'll call the docs on this...

Hello @willw. I understand your concern with a second surgery.

I would like to think that your medical record would help inform your surgical team of your specific needs around this hernia surgery, but it is always safe to explore options and considerations ahead of time. Does your surgeon know of your prior TKR surgery in September?
