What is the average age of the gentlemen on here?

@hammer101

I am 56 and diagnosed with Gleason 7 (4/3) in September 2022. Had RP on November 3, Pathology looked good, nothing found in 6 lymph nodes or seminal vesicles. Now, awaiting my 3-month post RP PSA check Even though the post RP pathology looked good, I am quite anxious for my PSA check, praying for PSA to be undetectable/near 0.
Question, has anyone been in my situation (clear pathology post RP), only to be surprised with increasing PSA?

Happy New Year and hope everyone had a wonderful X-Mas/Holiday Season.

Layperson response.

Mixed bag: RP recovery excellent; surgical margins clear; lymph nodes & seminal vesicles clear; surgeon optimistic.

Unfortunately, postop pathology reported Gleason grade 9; extra prostatic extension (EPE), which I understand as cancer cells outside prostate but within surgical margins, indicating aggressive cancer characteristics.

1st 90 day PSA a very disappointing 0.19 (repeated 0.18).

Rad Onc recommended radiation to pelvic floor (38 txs) and 4 mos hormone therapy. Begin tomorrow with Orgovyx. Radiation next Friday.

However, 2 friends with 7s doing great post RP w/ PSAs below 0.1.

Hopefully difference is aggressive nature of my cancer vs theirs, and hopefully your🤞🙏

Best wishes.
