@saucy

I haven't had problems with the Linx surgery until lately have had abdominal pain, not sure where its coming from but since I haven't been to Mayo for 3 years even though they did the surgery, have dropped me as a patient and will not take any new patients! I have no where to turn since very few doctors know about this procedure and basically Mayo said too bad. Very disappointed that they won't even consider checking to see if the device perforated or still functioning!

Hi @saucy, I’m sure this is not the response that you were expecting when you reached out to Mayo Clinic again. While Mayo Clinic continues to accept new and returning patients, some departments at some locations have more demand than appointments available. There is a great strain on the entire nation’s health care system.

Given that you are a former Mayo Clinic patient, I strongly suggest contacting the Office of Patient Experience:

Mayo Clinic Office of Patient Experience
Phone: 844-544-0036 (toll free)
Email: opx@mayo.edu

They can look into the situation and possibly mediate a solution. If an appointment at one Mayo location is not possible, you might ask if an appointment would be available at another location. Or perhaps with a facility that is part of the Mayo Clinic Health System (https://www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org/) or Mayo Clinic Care Network (https://www.mayoclinic.org/about-mayo-clinic/care-network/network-members). You might ask if there is a Mayo-trained physician closer to home for you to consult with.
