@leelaguna

I developed Cold Agglutinin Disease shortly after receiving Covid Booster #1.
It may be related. I have since taken Booster #2. Then I came down with Covid. The Anemia caused by CAD plus post-Covid has wiped me out. I recently had a transfusion. I have no energy. Any suggestions?

Stop taking boosters for starters.

Hi @leelaguna, you’re trying to connect with other members who share your diagnosis of Cold Agglutinin Disease (CAD) This is a rather rare autoimmune condition according to the National Institute of Health. https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/6130/cold-agglutinin-disease

I found another member, @hi2l, in our forum who also has CAD along with other comorbidities and has several replies in various groups regarding their treatment. Here are a few of the conversation links to introduce you to @hi2l

Are you being treated with any medications to help with the anemia besides the transfusion?

Hi ,
I also have cold Agglutinin disease.
There is a fantastic support group on Facebook for many of your questions and answers. Caddy chatter. Do you have a hematologist, oncologist you get your blood checked with regularly ? Also check your iron, ferritin . Having low hemoglobin makes you exhausted. So , there are various treat to raise your hemoglobin if your blood transfusion aren’t working. I am happy to help you find more answers to this rare disease .
