I have the peripheral flashes. Started as red circular images bilaterally, evolved into more linear BRIGHT white flashes. I also see waves when near change in temperature, both into heat or cold. Sometimes I see pins of light, sort of pixilated, vision. My Neuro-Ophthalmologist said this is similar to “visual snow” (google it) and she sees long covid patients with this all the time. She said it is a symptom of significant inflammation of the brain and up-regululation (extremely more sensitive) optical neuro pathways. She recommended CoQ-10 100mg 3 times a day, Riboflavin (vit B2) 400mg at night, and Magnesium Glycinate 200mg twice a day because these are anti-inflammatory for the brain. I am taking these and still have some flashes, but less so. I have no headaches and never had migraines. This doctor impressed me in a sea of disappointing specialists. Dr. Chen. UW-Madison.

wow, I am 90 min from there.
I dont have visual snow, only light shapes that travel in my peripheral vision.
started out as round shapes but have changed to any shape. If I am standing next to a wall, I see them traveling across the wall, very freaky. Sometimes, a shape will split into two, and travel away in different directions. Anyway, thanks for the info, I will probably look up this Dr. Chen.

Thank you for sharing this helpful information. The coenzyme Q-10 and magnesium glycinate supplements are also recommended for brain inflammation due to the Covid vaccines. The riboflavin is a photosensitizer that is excited by blue light. It may be a good idea to wear blue blocker sunglasses when outdoors or exposed to high intensity indoor lighting. Even though you are taking the supplement at night, your blood and tissue levels are increasing.
