I see a doctor at Mayo Clinic whose speciality is Integrative Medicine. She told me there is no direct evidence that sugar “ feeds” cancer cells. She advised me on my diet based on the research. There isn’t nutritional value in sugar and it affects body systems that along with other factors such as obesity, lack of exercise and stress contribute to diseases such as diabetes and high cholesterol. For that reason I have been eliminating added sugars from my diet.
