Gastritis
I stumbled on this site from so much googling on the digestive issues I've been suffering. Gastritis for 10 yrs now, on and off PPIs severally. Recurrent epigastric pain + nausea and bloating. Endoscopy 3 times. Last one done March 6 2019 and now diagnosed with severe intestinal metaplasia. It's been a dreary journey.

Have you gotten any relief? Funny you say all this. My clicking started when I was out on noritryptline, Gabapentin and Ativan. I no longer take noritryptline and still have clicking. I don’t feel it when I’m active or swallowing foods or liquids abs there is no pain associated with it. I have gastro issues but they have dismissed it. I’m at my wits end, it’s irritating and causes me more anxiety than I already have. Did you get any diagnosis or answers?
I was diagnosed with silent GERD on a previous endoscopy. But, i have other health issues that no one seems to be able to figure out. I am going to my primary on Mon to see if he can order a test for SIBO. It's so frustrating to not have any answers. It's been 8 years since I first started to have symptoms that no one can explain. I guess all we have to do is keep on keeping on. I think the worst thing is that everyone thinks your some hypochondriac...
Have you gone to the Mayo Clinic for a workup? I went and they couldn't figure anything out. I think because they were looking at Neuro symptoms. I am thinking about going back. Just have to figure out my next move. I was VERY impressed with the care and professionalism though.
What is SIBO?
@rockin888 SIBO = Small Intestinal Bacteria Overgrowth. See more information on it here:

Hi, it stands for Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth. It can cause bloating and early sense of fullness right after eating. Almost to the point that it's very bothersome. I have had it before and antibiotics clears it right up.
I’ve had gastritis for many years. I’ve been on omeprazole for more than 30 years and have had a 2mm hiatal hernia for 40 years. Never in pain until a few months ago. I had an EGD in 2/21, showed the gastritis and 2mm hernia. After months of significant pain, I just repeated the EGD. Gastritis is worse, hiatal hernia now 5mm, and they found “multiple” polyps. The largest was a whopping 2cm. Not cancerous, thank the Lord, repeat EGD in 3 years. What? I’m smart enough to know this needs more aggressive treatment, but what?? I cook all my own food, eat pretty healthy. Definitely need to lose weight. Getting ready to purchase a bed that raises the head up. But what more should I be doing? And what could be causing this?
I had my first Gastritis attack last year. I had to take 40 mg of protonix in the am and pm for 1 month.
Wow! I can’t get rid of it. I hope they switch me to protonix. I’ve been on am and pm dosage of omeprazole since 2.21. Only got worse.
Are you on 40 mg in the a.m.and 40 mg in the p.m. ? No alcohol/caffeine and no foods that aggravate GERD. Some people get chronic gastritis. I guess mine was an acute episode. I also had chronic cholesterolosis until a surgeon removed my gallbladder.
