Any other good sugar tablets besides glucose?
I deal with hypoglycemia (not diabetes) and I'm wondering if any of you use sugar tablets besides glucose? In fact, I'm wondering if there are any tablets or things you can "pop" in your mouth to help with blood sugar levels. I don't need (not yet anyway) to take insulin and times at work or throughout my day- it can be difficult to eat an apple or a nutrition bar to manage my blood sugar level. I'm wondering if anything else out there than glucose tabs? All postings welcome. Thanks.

I believe that if your blood sugar is too low, having candies in hand is helpful. Of course, juice is also very good to shoot up your blood sugar quickly. Eat frequent small meals can keep your blood sugar balanced. Good luck!
I am diabetic and periodically use lifesavers. Eat 5 real quick
I'm in the same hypoglycemic boat and agree that it can be very difficult/inconvenient to eat at work or school... For me, PB&J's are a good staple. They're quick to eat and pack some protein in with carbs/fiber. I also like packing instant breakfast or a protein shake (in a coffee mug) for those days when it's difficult to fit in snack breaks. That way, I can drink my shake whenever I need a boost. Hope these ideas help! 🙂
I drink (American) full sugar coke -- was told only 1/4 cup but I've had to drink more. Fast working. Also there are versions of powdered glucose in the far east. Work really well and taste better. Don't know where to locate them here.
There are Gel Packs of Glucose if you’re looking for faster acting Glucose options or just easier to eat than 4 giant chalk tablets. A simple Google Search of Glucose Gel Packs so bring up many products.
@katzee historical trivia: Lifesavers were originally designed and named for this purpose (treating hypoglycemia).
