Need answers
I had a large mass removed from my arm put May 2022. About 2 weeks after my breast was swollen, red, constant burning pain, and feverish. If you barely touch it the nipple gets so hard that it hurts.
I've been to multiple doctors and had lots of test done. Nobody has answers. I'm ready to have a mastectomy just to stop this pain. Any ideas or comments are very much welcome and appreciated TIA

I forgot to add there is a noticeable difference in appearance of my breast too.
Request an MRI of breast which also picks up lymph under arm.
Yes, you do need answers. I’m so sorry that you are suffering without answers. Did you have an MRI?
Yes Mri, ultra sound, mammogram, biopsy, ( no cancer)
I can't stand to wear a bra or tight clothing. And hurts in my breast all the way around to my back
I’m sorry that you suffer so. Glad to hear you don’t have cancer!
If you live near a BIG REPUTATION Medical center that can focus on more obscure issues perhaps that’s a next step or perhaps you’ve done that.
I had a mastectomy and there can be pain and other problems with that also.
I’m not a medical professional but perhaps it’s a neurological issue left from surgery; cutting of nerves in that area. There are meds to reduce neurological excitement.
I wish you the best in finding a medical team that can locate the problem and help you. Hugs🌸
@janalpowell -
Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect!
I agree that you should try to go to a major university medical center.
I can’t imagine the discomfort you are experiencing now.
What was the pathology of the arm pit mass?
All I was told was it was the size of a lemon and no cancer
@janalpowell - Just checking in on you.
Any improvement? Any answers to why you have been in such pain?
No improvement still just as bad if not worse. I'm scheduled for a pet scan on Jan. 12 and get results the next day. I had another epidural done and it done nothing to help with the pain. Thank you for checking on me
I’m praying for you that the medical establishment & doctors can identify what this ‘mass’ is. Pain and not know why is so frightening & unnerving. Take one step at a time. Blessings to you on the 12th.
