My pain and difficulties are on the lower left side(LLQ) where i had the 2 previous repairs(Inguinal hernia repairs). Through the mass tort litigation team, i have been notified of the 3 recalled products in there. These are "Bard" products. I am now in the process of getting more scans of the area, Ultra sound, CT...to see what we can see! My current general surgeon, has stated she would refer me to a hernia specialist. The conversation about removing any old, recalled mesh products...brought up the possibility of doing more harm than good... I mean, these products are made to become incorporated into the surrounding tissues... thus making it a meat and mesh mess...so to speak! So, yes, with that in mind...just how would any surgeon go about taking it out? And then repairing the old hernia that would be prevalent again...?
I was told by the mass tort team handling these recalled products, that if i do get one more surgery to correct things... i would then be compensated? This sounds really...odd...to say the least! I will continue to research this all...
