I had my Mammogram at KU med center this week and I asked the technician if she felt like there were more cases of breast cancer because currently we know five women that have breast cancer sone advanced. She said more and more wonen are being diagnosed in their clinic every year, and the patients are getting younger.
I dont know if there is research now on preventing breast cancer, but I do know that every endowment person Ive spoken to says research money is going towards a cure, not prevention.
I completely understand how you feel and at times, I feel the same way. Why are so many young women diagnosed with breast cancer?
Long story short is I believe back in my day, women simply didn’t talk about their diagnoses.
We may have had many friends of our families, relatives and neighbors who may have had breast cancer without us ever knowing.
Secondly, there are more people living longer which is a great thing but this gives cancer a chance to grow and develop.
And lastly, through modern technology, we’re able to diagnose and treat cancers at their earliest stages.
I suppose what I’m most concerned about is why cancer is so aggressive in younger women.
Hope this helps. ♥️
