Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?

HOKA with jell inserts. I can not do walks without.

I live in Portland, Maine and Lamey Welleham carries a wide variety of models here. I don't know the stores in other locations. Might be able to find stores listed on the Keen Shoes website.

They come in lots of colors and styles but all have roomy toe box and my favorites tighten on my foot with elastic cord.

I get mine from Amazon prime they deliver for free. I believe they run around $40

For anyone living near Indianapolis, the Walk-Ez store in Greenwood does a great job of helping clients pick out the right shoes and designing a custom orthotic. Things are not cheap but the owner does a great job on assisting with both shoes and orthotic inserts.

I live in Tallahassee Florida and we don’t have any stores that specialize helping folks with foot pain. I appreciate your recommendations and I’m going to look at purchasing a pair. Thanks

Have you ever had custom orthotics made? That what I get.
I have heard quite a few complaints about the off-the-shelf orthotics. One person told me they start you out on I have heard quite a few complaints about the off-the-shelf orthotics. One person told me they start you out on what one sad then sell you a more advanced sad and then sell you another set which ends up costing around $1000 or so.
Has that been your experience or do they only sell you one that works for you?

The orthotics I could buy over the counter never did anything for me. The owner of the store is a licensed pediatrist (not podiatrist). The shoes or sandals she helps you order are deeper so to speak compared to average footwear. The greater depth leaves space for a sector in custom orthotic to be inserted. The footwear look a bit clunky because of extra depth.
The shoes and/or sandals runs between $200 and $300. I have not found her to raise her prices over time, however, the shoes/sandals are more expensive. She charges approximately $200 (maybe more, but not a lot more) for the orthotic. She takes an imprint of both feet and then the designs the orthotic. Thus it takes two trips to the store.

I bought HOKA Biondi 8's, several months form an online company Orthofeet. I bought them for $164.00. They offer free returns. for any reason. I ordered my size 12 extra wide and they fit very well. No need to return. I can walk much better with them. I would buy them again. I believe another site Zappos whom I have purchased from before, also carries them.

I usually wear Skechers also but only the ones with GOGA mat insoles! I can’t do the memory foam! It really does make a difference. They do wear pretty fast like another reader said. Also Zbees are wonderful. They last a long time and soooo comfortable. If I’m going somewhere I wear these.
